Moran State Park Platform Tent Packing Guide

Whether you’re just exploring Orcas Island Camping, or you’ve already booked your Moran State Park camping experience with us, this is the guide that’ll help you pack or plan for your adventure!

We’ve outfitted Moran State Park campsites with real-deal yesteryear canvas wall tents perched on island-milled cedar plank platforms.  Most important, we’ve tricked-out those tents with some comfortable furnishings.  Have a look below to learn more about the in-tent furniture and equipment included in our nightly rate.

Inside Furnishings

  • Bed frame and mattress (bring your own bedding)

  • Round table and chairs, utility table, bedside stands

  • Luggage rack, coat rack, towel rack

  • Three-drawer dresser

  • Battery-operated alarm clock

Outside Furnishings

  • Picnic table with umbrella

  • State Park issue fire ring with grill

  • Food storage cabinet

  • One Adirondack chair per camper

Lighting

  • One flashlight per guest

  • Two bedside lanterns

  • Tap-lights inside tent frame

  • One outdoor lantern

  • No electricity!

Extra Gear

  • One cooler (ice and food *NOT* included!)

  • Dish pan and sponge for shared sink a short stroll away

  • Water jug for shared spigot a short stroll away

  • Paper towels and facial tissue

  • Hand sanitizer

  • It’s a short walk to the shared water spigot
