2023 Season Experience Update: B.Y.O.B.  (bring your own bedding and bath supplies)

We setup cedar platforms with canvas tents on walk-in Moran State Park campsites.

You take it from there.

Plan downtime: enjoy a fall Vacation in the San Juan Islands.

If your summer was a little too busy, take a fall vacation: glamping San Juan Islands. September is one of the nicest times of the year on Orcas Island. Plus, the glamping in Moran State Park is still awesome. Here are a handful of reasons to plan some downtime with us this September:

Ferries are more fun

Summer is peak travel season for the San Juan Islands. That means lots of people, cars, trucks, and bicycles all vying for the same boats. The Washington State Ferries’ summer schedule actually lasts through September 30th this year. As a result, the same number of summer sailings will serve September seafarers!  Hence, you’ll likely enjoy a more relaxed adventure with a bit more elbow room.

Tip: Don’t forget to make your ferry reservation to and from Orcas Island!

Campfires are cozier

Everyone loves a campfire. Fall camping offers more opportunity to cozy up by the campfire. Later sunrises, earlier sunsets, and cooler temps, mean that cozy campfires are a ‘must’ for your glamping experience.

Planned downtime

This one is the most important. You probably had a big agenda of everything that you wanted to do this summer. Toss that aside. Get glamping with us this September and give yourself a few days of downtime. No cell phone, no itinerary. Just a tricked-out tent in the middle of a magnificent forest.  Probably the best way to escape your everyday.

If you want to take a hike, go ahead. If you want to stay in bed all day, go ahead. Plan for all the downtime that you’d like. Take the easy way out. ™

Glamping San Juan Islands availability
