Savor the San Juans Glamping in Moran State Park this September.   The San Juan Islands are celebrating the 10th Annual Savor the San Juans Festival September 22nd through November 11, 2017. Though we’ll close the tent flaps on September 30th for the 2017 glamping season, there is still plenty to Savor on Orcas Island. Have a look below to learn more about the fun that you’ll have as our season winds down and this favorite fall festival gets underway!

Wild and Scenic Film Festival: At The Edge

The Orcas Center and San Juan Preservation Trust’s film festival theme for 2017 is ‘At The Edge.’ Plan to join them on September 22, 2017 from 6:30 – 9:00pm for stellar short films with top-notch storytelling. These engaging films may even compel you to rethink how we inhabit our planet. Admission is listed at $17 for adults and $13 for students.

Orcas Island Farm Tour

In addition to spectacular forest and wilderness, Orcas Island is home to lots of farms that are a big part of its heritage. Take a peek at the action behind the scenes of Orcas Island’s working farms. The Chamber of Commerce will host the tour on October 1, 2017 from 11:00am – 3:00pm.

Awesome Hiking

If your idea of savoring spectacular fall days is to escape the special events and delight in the quiet forest instead, you’re in luck. Our glamping sites are tucked-in 5,000 acre Moran State Park. As a result, you’ll have over 30 miles of hiking trails to explore. Because the island mellows-out in the fall, you may also have most of those trails all to yourself. Ahhh.

If you can’t make it to Moran State Park before the end of our 2017 glamping season on September 30th, take a look at the rest of Festival happenings around the San Juan Islands through November 11th here.

Most important, if you’re planning a fall camping trip, be sure to check our rates and availability right away!
