2023 Season Experience Update: B.Y.O.B.  (bring your own bedding and bath supplies)

We setup cedar platforms with canvas tents on walk-in Moran State Park campsites.

You take it from there.

You’re invited to join us in Eastsound for the annual Summer Solstice Parade! This parade has been hosted by Islanders residents for the last 19 years to celebrate the beginning of summer.  Folks on Orcas celebrate the sun because nothing pairs better with the Orcas Island outdoors and glamping than sunshine.  It’s a great excuse to make a trip in town from your glamping site to check out the local culture, experience a solstice celebration, and support the local market vendors!

This year’s theme is ‘Island Rhythms’ and it is certain that the locals are going to go all out with decorations and costumes! The parade kicks off at noon on Main Street headed towards North Beach Road and will conclude at the Village Green. Want to join in the fun? Participants should meet in front of the Oddfellows Hall between 11 and 12 to lineup before parade time.

The Farmer’s Market will be in full force on the Village Green during and at the conclusion of the parade and will be accompanied by live music and dance performances on stage! If you’d like more information, check out the San Juan Islands Visitors Bureau or the Orcas Island Solstice Parade Facebook Page!

We look forward to kicking-off summer 2017, and welcoming a sunshine-filled glamping season with you!

If you haven’t booked your glamping experience yet, you can check our rates and availability and get glamping in no time. See you at the Solstice Celebration!
