There’s a lot of great walking in the woods on Orcas Island and especially in Moran State Park. With about 30 miles of hiking trails (several lead to the top of 2,409-foot Mt. Constitution, the highest point on the San Juan Islands) you can really gear up or gear down depending on your appetite!

If you’re looking for a nice stroll with limited ups and downs around the perimeter of a pristine mountain lake, then we highly recommend you lace ‘em up for the appropriately named ‘Mountain Lake Loop Trail!’ You’ll stroll, mostly lakeside, along a really nice pathway that’s pretty smooth sailing while being treated to big Doug Firs, lush moss covered forest floor and plenty of birds, ducks and deer. At just under four miles, this hiking trail in Moran State Park is a great tail run, too.

As we mentioned, there are A LOT of hikes in Moran State Park on Orcas Island, so please stay tuned as we build our library and help you gear up for your Moran State Park glamping adventure!
